Security & Ethics

Securing Your Data
Your personal data, memories, videos, pictures, and documents are stored in the Eternos vault. There is no public access to the vault. When data or media is needed, it is retrieved through a secure connection and displayed by the Eternos application. Only you have access to add and remove items from the vault.

Securing Your Voice
The voice sample you provided when creating your personal voice is not saved or stored. The voice samples required for Enterprise users are stored in the Eternos vault. There is no public access to your voice model. Your voice model cannot be altered, stolen, or cloned. All voice models exist on secure private servers that can only be accessed through the Eternos application. There is no public access to voice models.

Securing Your Eternos AI
Your Eternos AI is NOT a single model that can be copied, infected, or stolen. It only exists when the Eternos application performs the chat function. The Eternos application uses many different secure models, functions, and algorithms to create the user experience. The raw data for your AI is never sent to a web browser or mobile device. All text and data is passed through a series of secure APIs (application programming interfaces).

Downloading, Editing, or Deleting Your Data
You can download the entire contents of the vault at any time through the Eternos dashboard. The vault only includes your datasets (memories, stories, etc.), media (videos, images, documents, etc.), and voice samples (enterprise users only). You are the only one that has access to your dashboard. You can edit or delete your data at any time.

Backups for Your Data
All data in the Eternos vault is backed up every day to secure redundant servers and can be restored/rebuilt at any time.

Controlling Access to Your AI
Only you can add, edit, or delete the data used to create your Eternos AI. However, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. There is no public access to your AI except as an option for professional use. Only you can grant permission to someone who wants to access your AI by using the invitation feature. There is NO anonymous access. Everyone who uses your AI must login with their Eternos account. All chat activity is logged.

Can I build an AI for someone else or can someone else build an AI of me?
The owner of an Eternos AI can only build an AI for themselves. No one can build an Eternos AI for someone else. The owner verification process includes multiple human check points to ensure that all Eternos criteria are met. There are no exceptions. Even the creation of the voice AI model requires multiple forms of proof including a voice statement.

Who owns the AI and the content used to build my AI?
The AI and all the content used to create is the property of the owner of the AI. The owner of the AI determines the disposition of the AI upon their passing. The AI owner can add data, edit data, or delete data at any time.

Are there rules for the content that can be used by AI and the intent of the AI?
The owner of the AI agrees to abide by the rules set forth in their contract regarding the content in the AI and the intent of the content in the AI. Offending content will be removed at the discretion of Eternos. The intent of all Eternos AIs is to pass knowledge and experiences to future generations.

Ethics
We recognize the ethical considerations surrounding the development and utilization of AIs. We share the belief that both security and societal implications are significant considerations in the realm of Artificial Intelligence. Every AI application is different and should be judged on it’s own merits. Eternos is a premium product that we are using for ourselves and our families. We built this with an intense focus on security and how it would be used. Eternos is NOT anonymous. Anyone who builds an AI or uses the Eternos application must verify their identity.

Eternos exceeds the National Institute of  Standards of Technology AI guidelines (January 2023). Eternos also complies with the EU AI Standards Act (March 2024).
